The mini quilt Liz made for our LAMQG Valentine Swap and I was lucky enough to get.  Check out Liz’s blog for details on how she made it and even better pictures.  Awesome, isn’t it?  Thanks Liz!

Japanese fabric my new friend Lori gave me after I admired it in a pillow she showed at our last meeting.  Can you believe how generous she is giving it up?!?!  You can find this fabric in cream at shops still but no orange, and isn’t it the most gorgeous orange?  I think I love you, Lori!

The latest Knitscene magazine, my favorite knit publication.  If you knit, buy this magazine.  You will not regret it.  There are over a dozen patterns just in this one issue I want to make.  You can see a preview of each project in the magazine here.  I really want to buy a couple of skeins of Malabrigo Lace to make the Geodesic Cardigan.

My paperwork for Squam!  Yay!!!  I got in!  And I got all of the classes I wanted.  I am so unbelievably excited.  More excited than I’ve been for anything in a very, very long time.  Just writing about it makes me want to get up and have another run around the house to calm down (hehe).

Oh yeah, and there’s a couple of crochet hooks that I didn’t notice were there when I took the picture.  We’ll call it a little preview of my latest finished object.

And this is not on my desk anymore, but I forgot to take a picture of it when it was.  Luckily I remembered to take a picture at the Valentine Swap before I lost the chance.  Nothing compared to what I got, right?  I used this tutorial, which was really easy to follow, and Sew Mama Sew had a tutorial for similarly made coasters on their blog today.  These are the perfect little projects to try out this new (to me, anyways) technique on.
